چکیده
Background: Due to its strong association with major morbidity and mortality in the elderly, such as heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, death, hypertension is currently one of health problems associated non-communicable diseases. It certainly influenced by various vari¬ables, which one’s cardiorespiratory fitness can affect blood pressure. The study aims find out if there a correlation between pressure elderly. Subjects Method: cross-sectional was conducted Pepe Village, Kwarasan, Juwiring, Klaten, Central Java. A sample 31 elderly people selected using purposive sampling. dependent variable independent fitness. Cardiorespiratory measured Six Minute Walking Test (SMWT). Blood sphygmomanometer. tested Pearson Spearman rho 95% confidence interval p<0.050 statistical meaningfulness. Results: lowered systolic 0.14 mmHg (r= -0.14; p= 0.442) diastolic 0.55 -0.55; 0.771), but both were statistically insignificant. Conclusion: There no relationship physical Keywords: hypertension, pressure, fitness, six-minute walking test, Correspondence: Farid Rahman. Cardiorespiratory fitness, exercise, and blood pressure.
F indings from well-designed large epidemiological studies and diverse populations support a robust, inverse, and independent association between physical activity, cardiore-spiratory fitness, and cardiovascular and overall mortality risk. The association is independent of age, race, sex, documented cardiovascular disease, or comorbidities, including hyperten-sion. In prehypertension and hypert...

Background. Evidence shows that obesity negatively influences children’s physical, physiological and musculoskeletal well-being. Objectives. This study examined the relationship between triponderal mass index (TMI), blood pressure (BP), and musculoskeletal fitness (MSF) in a cross-sectional sample of school children in Ado-Ekiti, Southwest Nigeria. Methods. Body weight, stature, systolic and ...

Objective(s): We aimed to assess the association between blood pressure and LV myocardial uptake of FDG, hypothesizing that subjects with raised blood pressure would have higher FDG uptake. Methods: We analyzed 86 healthy controls who underwent PET/CT imaging 180 minutes following FDG (4 MBq/Kg) administration. LV myocardial analysis was perf...
متن کاملLow cardiorespiratory fitness levels and elevated blood pressure: what is the contribution of visceral adiposity?
Individuals with poor cardiorespiratory fitness have higher blood pressure than fit individuals. Individuals with low fitness levels also tend to be characterized by higher visceral adiposity compared with physically fit individuals. We tested the hypothesis that the relationship between low fitness and elevated blood pressure could be related, at least in part, to the higher level of visceral ...
